Darton distributes UTA Wireless wireless modules in Iberia

Darton Electronics and UTA Wireless have reached a distribution agreement for Spain and Portugal, adding a new range of wireless connectivity solutions for IoT, industrial, mobility, and automotive applications to Darton’s portfolio.

UTA Wireless is a European company based in Italy, specialized in the development of wireless modules and wireless connectivity solutions for IoT. Their portfolio includes technologies LTE Cat.1bis, LTE Cat.4, 5G RedCap and 5G NR, in addition to solutions of GNSS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Among its main products are the modules KING-R2, ROSE-R2 and EIRA-R2, based on LTE Cat.1bis, as well as NAYA-L4, for LTE Cat.4 applications, and SAVA-RC2, based on 5G RedCap. These solutions are aimed at applications such as tracking and telematics, mobility, smart metering, industry, energy, and automotive.

One of the differential elements of UTA Wireless is also its access to memory technologies through its investors' stakes in the manufacturers Dosilicon and Fidelix. This agreement allows UTA-W to secure the memory supply along with its modules in a context of significant supply chain tensions.

UTA Wireless and Darton Electronics: wireless connectivity for Spain and Portugal

For Darton, the agreement combines UTA Wireless's technical capability in wireless connectivity with Darton's expertise in electronic component distribution and supply chain management.

The goal is to support the clients from module selection and initial evaluations to industrialization and production, offering technical and commercial support during the project development, in addition to working on the planning and availability of the components necessary for production.

The addition of UTA Wireless thus strengthens the position of Darton Electronics in the market of wireless modules and connectivity solutions in Iberia, offering manufacturers and developers a new European option for their connectivity projects, both in new designs and in applications where it is necessary to seek alternatives and greater security of supply.
